15.6. The torsion - removal and installation

1. Lift a car front.
2. Turn off nuts and get an adjusting bolt (photo).

3. Remove a cover and get a lock ring (photo)
4. On rear wheel drive cars displace the torsion lever from a body towards a back part of the car and get the torsion. Remove the torsion lever from the lower lever of a suspension bracket (photo).
5. On all-wheel drive cars turn off bolts of fastening of the lever of the torsion to the lower lever (photo) and remove the torsion together with the internal lever, having displaced it towards a forward part of the car.
6. Check a condition of the torsion, existence on it tortional deformations, damages, check integrity of the shlitsevy terminations.
7. On rear wheel drive cars fix the torsion lever on the lower lever, tighten bolts with the set moment. Grease vents and insert the torsion into the lever from a suspension bracket.

8. On all-wheel drive cars fix the torsion on the lower lever and tighten bolts with the set moment.

If both torsions were removed, then install them on former places, being guided on R tags (right) and L (left).

9. Raise a jack the lower lever against the stop of the lever buffer in a frame (photo).
10. Install the motionless lever and adjust a starting position of the mobile lever of the torsion so that the gap of G corresponded specified in Specifications (photo).
11. Establish a lock ring in a flute of the mobile lever and dress a cover.
12. Rotating a nut of the motionless lever, establish the size L of a vystupaniye of a bolt (photo).

13. Lower the car on wheels and press out a suspension bracket. Check amplitude of swing of the lever N in the specified points (photo). If the size N does not correspond specified in Specifications, then rotating a torsion bolt nut, establish the standard size.
14. Check and adjust the angles of installation of wheels (it is carried out in car service).
