17.5. Fusible crossing points - general information

Fusible crossing points are intended for protection of a chain at big current overloads. Crossing points are used in silnotochny chains which cannot be protected a usual safety lock (for example in an ignition chain, etc.). Crossing points are mounted about a battery pole to get a crossing point it is necessary to disconnect sockets on both sides (photo).
If malfunction arose in any chain or in group of chains, and safety locks of separate chains are serviceable, then check a condition of a crossing point. Replace the melted-off crossing point, previously having established a cause of defect.
